Geo Lab utilizes two types of well installation processes:
Direct Push Wells: Direct Push Wells are usually small diameter wells (a.k.a. micro-wells) that are installed inside the hollow stem of direct push Geoprobe rod train. They are installed in very little time with minimal site disturbance. When it comes to quality at a low cost, direct push wells are a great solution.
Augured Wells: Augured Wells utilize rotary power to remove the soil in a location before the well is constructed. This allows for the placement of a good sand pack around the screen portion of the PVC. Augured wells therefore provide low turbidity samples. They are now the standard in 2" monitoring well installation.
